2 Corinthians 10:3-5
For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.
It is very clear across scripture that our heart and mind are critical to experiencing joy and freedom. It’s also very apparent there is a spiritual battle going on all around us all the time and we may or may not realize it.
A majority of the time we're given solutions that put a bandaid on our problem instead of dealing with the root issue. As we dive into those root causes & expose the lies we've believed or trauma, hurt, or abuse we've experienced, then Jesus is better able to come in and heal. Our wounds and hearts can heal the proper way therefore resulting in true life change instead of temporary behavioral change.
